Horizontal Directional Drilling is our preferred method of excavation as it has the smallest impact on the area of works with minimal ground disturbance required. We specialise in utility installation under roads, highways, aviation runways, carparks, creeks and landscaped gardens. We can achieve drill shots up to 300m with up to a 1200mm diameter bore radius.
Hydro Excavation utilises high pressure water to safely locate and expose assets. Our team are trained in asset locating using cable locators and GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) equipment. Along with our robust excavation policies and procedures, you can be confident that all existing services will be identified and protected throughout the projects duration.
With a total of over 50 years experience in the communications industry, JSM Civils can deliver end to end projects with our experienced optical fibre technicians. Our optical fibre splicers have experience with copper jointing, ribbon and loose tube splicing, testing and Celemetrix workbooks.
JSM Civils have the capabilities to trench long runs utilising either our Rocksaw or Chain trencher when clear of assets. In high asset locations we can also provide trenching by way of excavator and/or hydro excavation units.
JSM Civils are highly experienced in all aspects of cable hauling and installation. Our team can also assist the delivery of pit and pipe construction and maintenance to service the telecommunication, electrical and plumbing industries. We are accredited in pit and pipe installation for Telstra.
